Meet Nelson - The Mannerly Pooch. This handsome Lab mix is about 1-2 years old and is the sweetest, most polite boy you could ever meet. He's fully potty trained and currently crate training; he walks beautifully on a leash and is wonderfully well-mannered, never jumping on you when you come home. Nelson absolutely loves other dogs and is non-reactive, making him an easygoing companion. He’s happiest by your side, whether that's on a quiet walk, a weekend adventure (he's great in the car), or simply relaxing at home after a day well spent. He prefers sleeping in bed with his foster and sleeps through the night without any issues. Nelson's journey is one of resilience. Not long ago, he was abandoned and left to fend for himself on the streets of Puerto Rico. Despite that, he chose love over fear and has embraced every opportunity for a better life. He now understands what it means to be safe, cared for, and cherished, and he’s ready for the one thing still missing: a family to call his own. He deserves a home where he will never again question if he is loved, and someone who will recognize the incredible, loyal, gentle soul he is.
