About Sweetie
Meet Sweetie! This gentle 1-year-old Pit Bull Terrier has a heart of gold and a genuine love for kids and dogs alike. Currently fostered in Lake Oswego, OR, she’s on a journey to adjust after being pulled from the euthanasia list at a California shelter. Sweetie is extremely affectionate, craving closeness and warmth from her human companions. She's gentle and doesn’t fuss when having her nails clipped, making care easy overall. On a leash, she behaves well, not pulling or being reactive. Potty-trained and understanding her surroundings, Sweetie does need a fenced area to do her business since she prefers to go off-leash. Although Sweetie is good with other mellow pets, she is quite timid and would thrive best as the only pet or with calm, patient companions who can give her space to warm up. This sweetheart also requires a patient adopter who understands her shyness as she navigates the world after her tough beginnings. She has a scheduled spay surgery soon and is eager to gain some weight with the right care. With her loving nature, Sweetie is ready to find a family to call her own. What are you waiting for?
