About Lilith

Meet Lilith, the charming black and white pittie mix! Forced to surrender due to her previous guardian's eviction, Lilith has lived with a diverse household, including children under 12, teens, and adults. She's friendly and loves to play, particularly enjoying fetch and romping with her canine friends. Her training includes the command "sit," especially when a treat is involved, and she's eager to engage in positive reinforcement training to bond with her new family. While her family worked, Lilith spent about 40 hours a week indoors, storing her energy and affection for their return, when she showered them with kisses. A volunteer who took her on a sleepover described her as the most loving and affectionate dog she’s ever met. Though Lilith is lively and energetic, she calms down nicely after a good walk. She thrives in an active household, where her playful spirit can be let loose before she curls up for cuddles on the couch. Just a note: her high energy and enthusiasm for licking might be a bit intense for some people. On a walk, she showed she could be manageable on a leash, though she was a bit eager to get into her harness. Lilith's adoption fee is covered by the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter Foundation's Leave No One Behind fund, helping animals like her find their forever home. She’s also eligible for “Pawsitivity Bucks,” a $200 training voucher for a smoother transition into her new life. Check out Lilith at the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter; they are open daily from 11 am to 6 pm, but be sure to arrive before 4 pm if you want to meet her out of her kennel.
