About Moose
Moose is a striking white and tan Shih Tzu mix with a heart brimming with affection. At around 2 years old and weighing approximately 18 pounds, heβs ready for a warm, loving family to help him turn the page in his life story. Having faced abandonment and neglect, Moose came to us with a severely matted coat. Despite his painful past, he has retained a gentle, trusting nature and is eager to find love once more. This delightful pup enjoys the company of people and does remarkably well with other friendly dogs. He also gets along with cats, preferring companionship over chasing. Moose is house trained and thrives on daily walks, often spotted gleefully carrying a squeaky toy. His cleverness shines through as he eagerly learns basic commands like "sit". At the end of the day, thereβs nothing he loves more than snuggling beside you on the couch, gently prompting for more pets. Moose sleeps soundly in a pen overnight and has shown resilience with no signs of separation anxiety. His ideal home will be adult-only, where a family is committed to guiding him as he works on some mild resource guarding behaviors. Moose seeks a consistent, patient environment that will allow him to overcome his past and bask in the warmth of a caring family. Could you be the special someone Moose has been longing for?
