About Coconut
Coconut is an approximately 1-year-old female Schnauzer who weighs around 12 pounds. She came to the shelter with her sister after their family had to move and couldn't take them along. This charming girl has captured the hearts of both staff and dogs alike. Coconut is friendly and social, easily getting along with other dogs. Since her sister found a home, Coconut fit right into a kennel with several small dogs, making friends and shining in her new environment. Now in foster care, Coconut has settled in beautifully. She is crate trained and consistently follows her potty schedule. She loves playing with her three canine roommates—a large Doberman, a German Pinscher, and a Chihuahua mix. Coconut has also been gentle with the two children in her foster home, ages 2½ and 7. While she’s gaining confidence on the leash, Coconut would thrive in a quieter suburban setting away from city noise. She’s not much of a barker but has the cutest happy growls when her people return home. After getting a bit shy around new faces, she warms up quickly with patience. Once comfortable, she reveals her sweet nature. This eager little companion is ready to find her forever home. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
