About Petra
Petra is a resilient soul with a heart brimming with love. Her journey began on the island of St. Lucia, where, as a tiny puppy of about 10 weeks old, she faced daunting challenges alone, all while searching for food and safety. Despite her rough start, she never lost her spirit. When rescued, Petra was frightened and just 8 pounds. However, with the support of kind-hearted people at SLAPS, she slowly transformed into a joyful, spirited dog ready to embrace life. Now in foster care with Bruno Project Rescue, she thrives alongside her foster siblings, exploring the world and discovering the joys of play and companionship. Petra absolutely adores walks and outdoor adventures. The sight of her harness sends her into a joyful bounce, eager for exploration. She loves other dogs, enjoys her toys, and especially looks forward to breakfast time. Petra is in search of a calm, patient home without small children, as loud environments can be overwhelming for her. A calm routine and a gentle approach to building trust will help her flourish further. She’s house trained, sleeps soundly through the night, and greets each day with curiosity and a resilient spirit. Petra has proven that she’s more than a survivor; she’s ready to live fully.
