About Lantana
Meet Lantana, a charming little Chihuahua who found her way to us as a stray from Abilene. This tiny 5 lb nugget is about 10 years old and has endured a lot, including a broken front leg that has been a challenge for her. Thankfully, she's not in pain, but she does need surgery to repair her leg for a better quality of life. This procedure is estimated to cost between $3,000โ$4,000. While Lantana may be small, her spirit is mighty and absolutely worth the investment. Despite her challenges, Lantana is delightful. Sheโs already beginning to settle in with her foster, who describes her as a mini shadow that follows along closely. She loves beef sticks (in tiny pieces) and makes her desires known by standing up for snuggles. How cute is that? After some potty time, she happily seeks out companionship. A fun coincidence: Lantana was named after the colorful plant, only for her foster to discover one thriving in the yard. Clearly, this little queen is meant to thrive! Once she recovers from her surgery in a couple of months, Lantana will be ready for her forever home. If you can help share and donate to her cause, it would make a world of difference.
