About Luke
Lets make it official, apply to adopt! Meet happy-go-lucky Luke! This sweet little Chihuahua pup and his brother Duke came from an unplanned litter, with a Chihuahua mom and a mystery dad. Since arriving at his foster home, Luke's tail hasn't stopped wagging. He's endlessly curious, affectionate, and playful—his adorable, wiggly, lowrider strut is guaranteed to make you smile. Luke loves playing with other dogs and has charmed everyone he's met so far, from kids to adults. Since both small puppies and small children can overwhelm one another, his rescue recommends children over 10 years old for his future home. If you want a glimpse of Luke's joy in foster care, be sure to check out the video link in his profile! Adoption decisions for Luke are made based on the best fit rather than first-come-first-serve. Interested adopters in Austin, TX are encouraged to submit an application and note his name if it's not yet on the list. Luke can't wait to meet a family ready to love him forever! Fun fact: Luke’s birthday makes him a Leo, so he’s sure to be a playful star in your household. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?

Questions about Luke
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Chihuahuas are very adaptable and do well in a variety of living environments, including apartments and houses. They thrive best in homes where they are part of the family and can enjoy lots of human interaction.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Chihuahuas don’t need a lot of outdoor space due to their small size, but they do benefit from short, supervised play sessions in a secure yard or walks around the neighborhood.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Chihuahuas can be good with respectful, older children who understand how to interact gently with small dogs. Their petite size makes supervision important, especially around younger kids.
