About Asher
Asher is a lively little guy who is almost 8 weeks old and currently weighs just 4 pounds. Thought to be a Jack Russell Terrier mix, his adult size remains a mystery until his DNA results come back. This energetic puppy is playfully curious, incredibly intelligent, and has all the enthusiasm you’d expect from a young dog. Asher is already adapting well to his environment. He uses puppy pads in his playpen and has even tackled the stairs to the couch like a champ! However, he needs a caring family that understands the demands of a young pup. Frequent meals and careful outdoor supervision are essential, especially with the summer heat, so he should spend most of his time indoors where he stays comfortable. He enjoys the company of other dogs, making him a wonderful candidate for a home with a patient dog that can guide him through his playful antics. Because he’s still a baby with sharp little teeth and a curious nature, any resident dog should have a good temperament to help him learn. We are actively seeking a Foster-to-Adopt home for Asher. Under this arrangement, Dogs Unlimited Rescue will maintain ownership until he’s neutered at around 6 months of age. All approved veterinary costs will be covered during this time, provided at Midwest Veterinary Hospital in Wickliffe, OH. Once he’s neutered, the adoption will be finalized. Interested families must have a securely fenced yard (no invisible or electric fences) and children aged 8 or older, given Asher's small size. Asher needs someone who can dedicate ample time and attention to him, understanding his breed mix and future size remain unknown until DNA results are in. Additionally, he must be located within one hour of Cleveland. Asher is ready to bring joy, chaos, and affection into your life as you raise him.
