About Casper
Meet Casper. Casper is a 1-year-old mixed breed weighing around 35 pounds, brimming with playfulness and affection. He’s eager to find a family committed to helping him blossom into the best dog he can be. This handsome guy loves to play! Whether he's tossing around his favorite toys, romping with other dogs, or splashing in the water, Casper thrives on fun. He has bonded well with his canine companions and enjoys their company to burn off his energy. After a day of adventures, Casper transforms into a total cuddle bug. He loves being close to his people and curls up beside you after playtime. He even sleeps soundly through the night snuggled in bed and walks elegantly on a leash, making him a delightful companion for neighborhood strolls. Like many young dogs, Casper is still honing his manners. He’s made great strides, but he'll need a family willing to keep working on things like jumping up to say hello and resisting the temptation to counter-surf. He’s also learning that new sounds and sights, like vacuum cleaners and delivery trucks, aren't as intimidating as they might seem. With patience and positivity, his confidence is blossoming. Casper is progressing well with house training, especially when given regular outdoor opportunities. While he isn't a fan of being crated, he can settle down when needed. He experiences a bit of anxiety when left alone, so a family that can support him in building confidence will be key to his success. Mealtime should be supervised, as Casper does show a tendency to protect his food from other dogs. However, he’s comfortable around his foster family during meals and allows them to interact safely with him. Casper has not yet been introduced to cats or children, but he has thrived with other dogs and loves being around them. If you're searching for a loyal, fun-loving companion ready to learn, Casper is eager to embark on his next chapter with you. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
