About Chickpea
Chickpea is a spayed female Terrier mix, about 9 months old, who came to Homeward Bound Pets after a rough start. Abandoned with her brother, they spent days hiding under a bridge, terrified and trying to evade capture. Thankfully, a kind-hearted woman named Cynthia helped earn their trust, leading to their rescue. Now, Chickpea is learning to live in a safe environment where she can thrive. This young girl does well with other dogs and would benefit from having a confident canine companion in her new home. She's still getting used to life, so a fenced backyard is essential to help her feel secure while she adjusts. Chickpea can be shy, especially around small children, and she has a tendency to get underfoot, which can make her a tripping hazard. When scared, she tends to hide, so gentle handling is important. Chickpea has already shown how sweet and affectionate she can be. She’s house trained and is looking for a loving home where she can feel safe and flourish. Ready to help her start a new chapter?
