About Rusty
Meet Rusty! This handsome 1-year-old Husky/Aussie mix has a heart as big as his smile. Rescued from the euthanasia list, he's looking for the forever family he deserves. Rusty perfectly balances playfulness and affection. He enjoys outdoor time, especially with a rope toy, but loves curling up next to his humans once he's spent his energy. Rusty is a quick learner, already knowing "sit" and "come," and he’s making good progress on "stay" and "lay down." He’s potty trained, walks well on a leash, rides great in the car, and settles down nicely in his kennel at night. While he’ll bark a bit if someone is nearby, he’s not an excessive barker. With his loyal and loving personality, Rusty would make an incredible companion for a family. Whether playing in the yard, going on adventures, or relaxing after a long day, he’s eager to be part of it all. After overcoming so much in his young life, he just needs someone to show him what love truly means. Rusty is currently being fostered in Houston, TX, and is available for adoption and transport to various areas across the country. His adoption fee is $600, which includes transport.
