Rhea is a lovely 1.5-year-old, 60 lb GSD mix who recently arrived at Ulster County Canines. She's smart and affectionate, with a medium energy level that makes her perfect for both playtime and relaxing. Rhea enjoys exploring her surroundings, playing fetch, and splashing around in the pool. While she is crate trained, she thrives best in an environment where she isn't kenneled for long periods. She quickly forms strong bonds and loves being around people. Rhea preferably needs a home where someone is often present, as she does not like being left alone for extended hours. As an adventurous spirit, she has a tendency to chase birds in the yard, so a fenced area would be ideal. In her previous home, she got along well with dogs, although she has not been formally tested with them here yet. Cautious yet respectful around cats, she tends to avoid them rather than confront. Gentle, considerate children would be the best fit for Rhea, who is eager to please and has enormous potential.
