About Luna
Luna is a delightful 5-year-old female Shih Tzu mix weighing 14 pounds. She’s playful and full of energy, requiring daily exercise to stay happy and healthy. Luna loves her walks, often trekking over a mile a day while exploring her surroundings. While a fenced yard would be ideal for her to run and play, it's not a strict requirement as long as her new family commits to providing the necessary daily activities. Affectionate and sweet, Luna enjoys being around people and is certainly a lap dog at heart. She’s well-adjusted with other dogs and would thrive in a home with older, respectful children who understand gentle interactions. Her alert nature makes her an excellent watchdog; she barks to let you know when someone is at the door. It's important for potential adopters to note that Luna has some separation anxiety and needs someone home most of the day. Though she can be a bit whiny in the car, it’s just her desire to be close to her people. She’s currently housetrained, knows basic commands, and is a wonderful companion ready to bring joy to any family. If you think you can meet her needs and give her the love she deserves, she's waiting for you!

Questions about Luna
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Luna, being a Shih Tzu mix, is best suited for a calm home environment, ideally a single-family house rather than an apartment or condo due to her barking and separation anxiety.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Luna enjoys walks and playtime outside every day, so a secure yard would be a plus, but she can thrive with daily walks and sufficient activity.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Luna would do well in families with older, respectful children who know how to interact gently with small dogs.
