Meet Sweetie, a delightful 1-year-old pitbull navigating her journey with grace. She was rescued from a dire situation, having been pulled from the euthanasia list at a shelter in Lancaster, LA, before being transported to Oregon. Found as a stray, Sweetie was underweight and still lactating, but that hasn’t dulled her spirit or her affinity for humans. Sweetie radiates warmth and affection, seeking the company of people despite her timid nature. She is gentle and has no issues with nail clipping. On a leash, she is well-behaved, showing no reactivity or pulling. Sweetie's potty-trained, but she needs a secure outdoor space to go potty off-leash. While she might coexist with other mellow pets given slow introductions, her shyness suggests she could thrive as a solo pet or with non-invasive companions. The right foster or adopter will need to be patient and understanding, allowing her to warm up at her own pace. Additionally, Sweetie needs to gain some weight – around 7 pounds – and will require someone who can feed her small amounts throughout the day.
