Penny is a one-year-old mix with plenty of charm and a goofy heart hidden behind a shy exterior. With patience and a few treats, she quickly adjusts and thrives in a loving environment. Currently in foster care in New England, Penny is available for meet and greets with approved applicants. A complete written adoption application is required for consideration. Once approved, you'll start with a two-week trial period to help her settle into her new home. Rescued from a high-intake shelter in South Korea, Penny now enjoys life in a nurturing foster home, learning all about love and comfort. Personality-wise, she is sweet, playful, and eager to be close to her humans, often cuddling and seeking affection. Although she may be timid at first, she quickly gains confidence with gentle handling. She gets along well with other dogs, making a great companion for active canines. However, because of her tendency to startle at loud noises, she is likely better suited for homes with older, gentle children. Penny is full of curiosity and enjoys playtime, often entertaining herself with toys. She's learning potty training and does best in a calm, patient environment where she can flourish. To keep her safe and secure, a home with another dog will help ease her transition, but she can thrive as an only dog with regular social outings. Penny is eager for exercise, needing at least 60 minutes daily, and she loves her walks and outdoor exploration.
