Meet Winston, a handsome, chill retriever-husky-lab-shepherd mix. At nearly 3 years old, he carries a calm, submissive energy that makes him a delightful companion. Winston gets along well with all dogs and rarely barks or howls. He’s sociable and affectionate with people, enjoying the company of anyone who loves him. While he’s not particularly interested in toys, he finds joy in human companionship, especially during walks. Previously adopted, Winston is being returned due to his excitement playing with another young dog. Though he can get a little chewer when overly thrilled, he's not a destructive dog otherwise. He would thrive best in a home with a more mellow dog, and he may do fine with cats given his gentle nature. Winston is house-trained and crate-trained, and he understands several commands like "sit" and "wait," responding well to positive reinforcement. He loves his walks and is a strong, exuberant walker. Currently weighing 55 lbs, Winston enjoys cuddling on the couch and would be ideal for someone who works from home or spends considerable time at home. He fits well in both apartments and houses.
