About Gunny
Meet Gunny, an adorable mini Australian Shepherd around 6-7 years old. Having faced a tough past, he arrived at the rescue underweight and with scars that tell a story of survival. Initially tipping the scales at only 11 pounds, he has worked his way up to a healthier 20 pounds, and though he may look a bit battered, his spirit shines through. Gunny's smile, particularly when he's nervous, is truly heartwarming. Having spent most of his life outside, Gunny is discovering the joys of a real home. He can be a bit shy initially, needing some time to build trust, so a calm, patient owner is essential. While Gunny isn't aggressive, he may retreat from touch if he's frightened, making a quiet home with older children ideal for him. He gets along well with dogs and cats, but if another dog displays aggression, Gunny will respond with a growl. He does need a consistent family and a fenced yard to feel secure and continue his journey toward becoming a loving family member. Gunny is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and will be scheduled for a dental check soon. If you believe your home could be the forever place Gunny has been waiting for, please apply! Every animal deserves a happy ending, and this one starts with you.
