About Blossom
Blossom is not just another cat looking for a home. She is a survivor, protector, and one of the most devoted mothers we've encountered. This young orange tabby has overcome incredible odds. Typically, only about 20% of orange cats are female, making Blossom a rare gem. What truly makes her extraordinary is the fierce love she showed for her baby, Bud, while facing overwhelming challenges. On a day with winds exceeding 40 mph, Blossom was seen desperately trying to carry her newborn kitten across a busy city street. Exhausted and frightened, she had recently given birth. As cars sped by, poor Bud slipped from her mouth and landed in the road, but Blossom refused to abandon him. Braving heavy traffic, this courageous mother shielded her baby with her own body, determined to protect him against all odds. Fortunately, a Good Samaritan came to their rescue just in time. Bud has since found a forever home, and now it's Blossom's turn. Blossom is all heart—nurturing, resilient, protective, and endlessly loving despite her struggles. After surviving life on the streets, she deserves a safe home where she will never have to fear again. We're looking for a very special family who will cherish her, spoil her, and allow her to relax knowing she is loved. If you think you could be the forever home Blossom deserves, come meet her. Spend some time together in one of our get-acquainted rooms and see if she tugs at your heartstrings just like she has ours. The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30 pm and Saturdays & Sundays 1-4 pm. No appointments are necessary during those times.
