About Roam

Meet Roam, a charming 6-year-old King Charles Cavalier looking for his forever home. At 22 pounds, he carries not just stunning good looks but also a remarkable resilience as a mill survivor. Roam is currently exploring life outside a cage with excitement and curiosity. He’s a happy, affectionate, and intelligent little guy eager to experience all the world has to offer. In his new home, Roam would thrive as the only dog. His past isolation means he might feel unsure around other dogs, despite doing well with his foster siblings. Though he enjoys their company and learns vital life skills from them, moments of insecurity may arise. He hasn’t been around cats yet, so a cat-free home is preferred. Roam would love a family that is mostly home, ideally with gentle older children who can help him adjust to this new life. He delights in serenades from his foster mom and has been accident-free for two weeks, although maintaining a schedule is key to his continued success. A fenced yard would be perfect for his safety as he explores. Roam is neutered, has undergone dental work, is up-to-date on vaccines, has completed blood work, and is microchipped. His adoption fee is $350. Roam is currently fostered in Whitewater, WI. Albert's Dog Lounge is dedicated to rescuing senior and special needs dogs. The adoption process includes an approved application, reference checks, a home visit, and a meet-and-greet with Roam. Think you're the right fit for Roam? He can't wait to meet you!
