Sofia's friendly nature shines through, making her a wonderful companion. Currently located in Kennesaw, GA, she enjoys belly rubs and snuggling under cozy blankets. While she's blind in her right eye, she sees well out of her left and is healthy overall, needing just a little dental attention in the future.
About Sofia
Meet Sofia, a sweet and loving lady at around 10 years old and weighing about 13 lbs. She arrived at Mostly Mutts looking for a loving home, and the volunteers have described her as a joyful companion. Now, she’s ready to find her forever family! Sofia gets along well with other dogs, having coexisted peacefully during a visit to a volunteer's home. While she seemed indifferent to a cat, it’s best to evaluate her with any resident felines. She enjoys the company of gentle children and connects well with them, but she may not be suitable for homes with toddlers due to her small size. Personality-wise, Sofia is friendly, affectionate, and has a wagging tail that brings smiles wherever she goes. She recently enjoyed a bath without fuss and is calm and cooperative. Though she may let out a little bark for attention, she’s a delightful travel companion. Currently enrolled in the Mostly Mutts University training program, she’s eager to learn and already knows the ‘come’ command. Her potty training is progressing well, and she’s been good during her stay at the shelter. Sofia loves belly rubs, lap time, and curling up in cozy blankets. She enjoys sniffing around outdoors and rolling in the grass, always cherishing moments shared with her family. Medical-wise, she’s spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Sofia is blind in her right eye but sees well with her left and is on a joint supplement for seniors. To keep her safe, avoid letting her jump off furniture, as her long Dachshund back is prone to injury.
