About Woody
Woody is a 1-year-old male German Shepherd mix, originally rescued as a stray in Memphis. He has a sweet temperament and, while slightly tentative at first, warms up nicely to new people as is typical for the breed. Woody prefers the company of humans but can coexist peacefully with cats, showing no aggression towards them. He would thrive as the only dog in the household and is best suited for dog-savvy children aged 10 and older. With a medium energy level, Woody enjoys outdoor play but is calm and well-mannered indoors. He is both crate trained and housebroken, obedient to basic commands, and enjoys being with his family. Good on a leash, he also rides well in the car. After being treated successfully for heartworms, he’s now healthy, fully vetted, neutered, and ready for adoption. Woody would make a fantastic companion, especially for an active family who loves the German Shepherd breed. Your new best friend is just one click away.
