Meet Neko! This impressive Great Dane was surrendered to the shelter on June 27 because his previous family found they were unprepared for a dog of his size and strength. Neko is a powerful companion who will do best with a confident and kind adopter willing to help refine his leash manners. He’s already learned to sit and lie down on cue and comes house-trained and crate-trained. Neko also gets along well with children, making him a great family addition. At around 4.5 years old and weighing 145 lbs, Neko is up to date on vaccinations and has been microchipped. He will be neutered as part of the adoption process. Although Neko tested positive for heartworms, with proper treatment, he can live a long, happy life.
