About Chara
Chara is a delightful 65 lb. spayed female mixed breed, approximately 3 years old. This beautiful brindle gal has a heart full of love and affection. She enjoys being close and will lean against you for pets and attention. Initially a bit nervous indoors, she quickly warms up with some belly rubs and treats. Treats motivate her greatly; she's learning commands like sit and is excellent at catching them. Right now, she shows a medium energy level but can walk decently on a leash with minimal pulling. Chara seems to be non-reactive to dogs nearby, suggesting she could happily coexist with a canine companion after a proper introduction. Chara is still figuring out her personality, given that shelter environments can be stressful. A minimum of three days of decompression can help her settle in and show her true self. While we don’t have specific information about her behavior with cats or children, her friendly demeanor suggests she could adapt well with the right introductions. To meet Chara or learn more about her, visit [FriendsofDACC.org](http://friendsofdacc.org/adopt). Remember to bring the whole family, but leave current dogs at home to help make the introductions smoother. Ready to bring Chara into your life? She can’t wait to meet you!
