Unfortunately, this condition puts him at an elevated risk of euthanasia, making it critical for him to find a loving home for recovery as soon as possible. Petey is being held at Kern County Animal Services' Bakersfield Shelter, where he's been since June 19, 2026. As a medium-sized dog with a short black and white coat, he has a lot of love to offer. While he is not yet house trained, Petey is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccinations, providing a great starting point for his next chapter. This dog deserves a chance at life.
