About Cooper
Meet Cooper. This affectionate 1-year-old Husky is on the lookout for his forever home. He came to us from the San Bernardino City Shelter and is currently being fostered in Canoga Park, where he’s been a heart-stealer in the San Fernando Valley. Cooper is your classic Husky: opinionated and talkative, he has plenty to say. Whether it’s greeting you at the door or voicing his thoughts on meal times, he’s all about expressing himself—this is simply Cooper being himself. He’s also a sweet love bug. With his gentle disposition, he’s great with kids and brings a warm energy into any space. Remarkably, he is not mouthy, doesn’t resource guard, and remains calm on a leash—an impressive feat for a young Husky. Cooper gets along nicely with most dogs, though he has his preferences, and he has shown curious behavior towards cats on a leash, hinting that he could potentially adapt to a feline household with thoughtful introductions. He's crate trained, healthy, neutered, and his vaccinations are up to date. While he shouldn’t be crated for more than 2 to 4 hours at a time, Cooper thrives in an active environment, needing at least 3 to 4-mile walks daily. Though he has that puppy energy, he will settle down with time. Cooper is available for adoption across the USA, and if you appreciate the lively spirit of a Husky, he could be the perfect fit for your family. Come meet him and see for yourself!
