About Damien
Damien is looking for his forever pack! He came to us from the San Bernardino City Shelter and this one-and-a-half-year-old Husky has captured hearts in the San Fernando Valley. Weighing in at about 50 pounds, he’s playful and energetic, eager to be your best friend right from the start—with kisses included, whether you’re ready or not. Damien thrives in an active household and requires daily adventures, so a solid hour of walking is essential. He’s not the kind of dog who will lounge around on the couch all day. His friendly demeanor makes him great with kids and he gets along well with most dogs too. While he may not be as vocal as a typical Husky, he certainly makes up for it in enthusiasm. This boy has a heart full of fun! Though he can get mouthy when showing affection, he responds well to correction and is eager to learn. A bit of guidance will help him grow, as he hasn’t had much before. He’s still figuring out leash walking, but his temperament makes him a delight to train. Cats are currently an unknown, and he’s learning to manage some light food guarding around other dogs—nothing aggressive, just his way of communicating. With the right structure, we expect him to improve quickly. Damien is crate trained and can handle being alone for up to four hours. He’s neutered and up to date on vaccines.
