Zephyr is a lovely tiny senior dog weighing about 8 pounds, ready to find his retirement home. This 15-year-old Papillon is as calm as they come, never barking or whining. He shows his excitement through joyful spins and little jumps when he sees treats or when you return home after a while. Zephyr traveled well on his first beach trip and enjoys short walks. He gets along wonderfully with everyone, including cats, dogs, and kids. While primarily independent, Zephyr loves company and will follow you around the house. His gentle demeanor is evident when he leans into your touch for a head rub. He does have some health considerations, such as early kidney disease and arthritis, but nothing that keeps him from enjoying life. He currently benefits from a monthly Librela injection for his arthritis and requires a diet of softened or canned food to accommodate his lack of teeth. Potty needs require a bit of attention; he uses a belly band during the day but holds his bladder overnight. Zephyr’s fosters adore him, and he often accompanies his foster mom to work, where he happily naps.
