About Lucille
Meet Lucille, a striking young Siamese cat with captivating blue eyes and a personality that fills the room. She has faced numerous challenges in her short life; after being declawed by a previous owner, she found her way to New Hope Animal Rescue. Here, we're dedicated to helping her find a loving home where she can feel safe and cherished for who she truly is. Declawing can lead to anxiety and sensitivity in cats, and Lucille is no exception. She displays some of these behaviors, making a calm and predictable environment essential for her comfort. When she feels secure, she becomes an utterly devoted companion, greeting her humans happily at the door and following them from room to room. Lucille is social, affectionate, and humorously chatty, always eager to be a part of daily life rather than just cohabitating. An ideal home for Lucille would be quiet, perhaps with someone who works from home, so she can receive the consistent companionship she thrives on. She prefers being the sole feline, seeming to relax more without other cats around her. We’re unsure how she feels about dogs, but loud noises do seem to stress her out. Lucille is house trained and uses her litterbox regularly. However, be mindful: in times of stress or overstimulation, she may have accidents if given unsupervised access to soft surfaces. A clean litterbox and closed bedroom doors when she’s unattended help keep her settled. While she may exhibit some mouthy behaviors during play, she would do best in an adult-only home or one without young children. While she may not be for everyone, those who take the time to understand her unique quirks will find Lucille to be a deeply rewarding companion, filled with humor and love.
