She's incredibly loving, gentle, and affectionate—always eager to be right beside her person. Don't be surprised if she reaches out to hold your hand when you're sitting down; it's her way of showing you how much she cares. Bernice came to us after being surrendered due to medical challenges. She arrived with a severe skin infection that left her with painful open wounds and chronic ear infections causing scarring. Thankfully, with extensive veterinary care, including medications and specialized treatments, Bernice has made a remarkable recovery and avoided more invasive procedures. To maintain her well-being, she will need to stay on her prescribed skin medications and a hydrolyzed diet for life, but it's a small price to pay for such an affectionate companion. Bernice gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats, thriving in a home where she can be part of the family. Her gentle spirit shines through every day as she greets the world with love and a wagging tail. If you’re ready to welcome the sweetest little shadow into your life, Bernice can’t wait to meet you.
