Meet Bimby. Some dogs wear their hearts on their sleeves, but Bimby takes a bit more time to warm up. Patience and kindness will earn you her trust, and once you've got it, you're in for a lifetime of love. At around 4 years old and weighing 40 pounds, Bimby is a lovely black Pit Bull mix with a gentle spirit. She’s dog-friendly, enjoys playing with her canine pals, and blossoms in the company of people after she gets to know them. Initially shy, Bimby will soon be snuggling in your lap to share cuddles and kisses. Her journey has been tough. Bimby was found as a stray, spending months in a crowded shelter where she was often overlooked due to her black coat. When the shelter became overpopulated, she faced the risk of euthanasia. Thankfully, Because of Bubbles stepped in just in time. Once safe, it became clear that her fear stemmed from more than just her shelter experience. She would flinch when approached, revealing a past filled with trauma. During her spay surgery, veterinarians uncovered heartbreaking evidence that Bimby had been shot, leaving shrapnel and a bullet lodged in her gums. Despite these struggles, Bimby remains open-hearted and loving. She is learning to trust again and her growing confidence is beautiful to witness. What she seeks now is not a perfect family but one that understands that the best relationships take time. A family ready to give her the support she needs and celebrate every little victory along the way. Bimby has endured so much and now deserves the very best. Could that be you?
