About Nixie

Nixie is an adorable puppy who was found as a stray alongside her mom and littermates in California. Now in foster care, she’s learning all the ropes of home life, from good potty habits to basic training, all while enjoying cuddles with her humans. At just 17 pounds, Nixie is expected to grow to around 45-50 pounds. She’s likely a mix of Border Collie and German Shepherd, making her a wonderful little mixed breed who some might want to put to the test with a DNA kit. Nixie gets along beautifully with other dogs and thrives when she has a canine companion to boost her confidence – this is a must for her adoption. She has even been fostered with cats and does well in their company. Ideally, any kids in her new home should be 12 or older, as she can sometimes feel shy and young children might be overwhelming for her. Nixie is also crate-trained, happily sleeps through the night, and walks nicely on a leash, enjoying neighborhood strolls. Having had two rounds of puppy vaccines, been microchipped, and received necessary preventive care, she’s all set for her new life. If you want a loving companion who is eager to be a part of a family, Nixie could be the perfect fit. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
