About Char

Char is a fantastic companion for an active adopter who enjoys training and engaging with a spirited dog. He’s incredibly intelligent and athletic, thriving on mental challenges. Char already knows basic commands like sit, wait, and spin, and he's eager to learn more. Affectionate and loving, he craves attention from his humans. At times, his excitement may come across as a bit pushy, and he’s still learning to express his affection in more respectful ways. As with many adult rescue dogs, he might need a little refresher on house training as he adjusts to a new home. Char does best with a consistent routine and regular bathroom breaks. He settles well after exercise and play, and he sleeps in his own space at night. Char enjoys the company of most dogs and thrives in outdoor play settings. He’s adaptable with dogs of all sizes and ages but gets along best with females. While he can tolerate some males, he might react to aggressive behaviors from them. An experienced adopter who knows how to introduce dogs is ideal for him. Ultimately, Char needs a home that values structure and enrichment. In return, he offers loyalty, intelligence, and an abundance of personality. If you’re searching for a smart and athletic partner to join your adventures, Char might just be the one for you.
