About Sylvia

Meet Sylvia, a loving and playful one-year-old mixed breed dog weighing 57 pounds. Before arriving at the shelter in February, she bravely roamed the neighborhood for two months during perilously cold weather. Thankfully, kind community members rescued her, and now she’s ready to find her forever home. Sylvia’s personality shines through as she eagerly greets everyone she meets. She’s both energetic and goofy, yet she knows how to relax and cuddle when the moment calls for it. Her potty training is coming along nicely; she’s ensuring fewer accidents in her kennel and with a consistent routine, she’s likely to master it soon. While she enjoys playing with other dogs, Sylvia can be a bit dominant and prefers a slow introduction to new canine friends. Also, she’s discovered she has a knack for chasing chickens, so she’d thrive best in a home without livestock. Sylvia is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccinations, waiting for her chance to find a loving family. Come meet this special girl at the shelter, open Tuesday through Saturday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, or Sundays from noon to 5:00 PM. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
