About Wickett

Wickett is a gentle soul who thrives on companionship, especially from other dogs. Although he’s still adjusting to walks and the various sounds of the outdoors, his confidence improves as he receives encouragement and routines. Loud noises might startle him, but with time, he will embrace new experiences. Originally trained on pee pads, Wickett has made great strides in house training and prefers to go outside now. Following a consistent schedule has shown just how clever he is. Once he feels secure, Wickett reveals his affectionate side, cherishing moments snuggled up with his humans and soaking in all the love. This sweet boy sports a soft, gray and white coat, resembling a typical Shih Tzu. Regular grooming will keep him looking his best. Wickett came to IAR after his owner could no longer care for him due to health issues. He needs a loving home where he can continue to build confidence and enjoy being a valued family member. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and heartworm negative. If you’re looking for a gentle companion ready to share love, Wickett might just be the one for you.
