About Smokey

Meet Smokey! This 2-year-old male Cane Corso and Weimaraner mix found his way to us as a stray and is currently enjoying his time in a foster home in Houston, TX. He’s an affectionate guy, weighing around 60 pounds, and has already been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, making him ready for his forever family. Smokey is friendly with dogs and lives with two others in his foster home, where they enjoy playtime and relaxing together. His energy level is low to moderate; while he loves a good game of chase, he also values those cozy couch moments—just like while watching Gilmore Girls with his foster mom. Smokey does not get along with cats, so a feline-free home is a must. He walks well on a leash, but may get a bit excited at first. Once settled, he’s a calm walker. Though fully house-trained, he experiences some separation anxiety and prefers not to be crated. Smokey would do best in a home where someone is around frequently, ideally with an individual who works from home. Smokey is a kind-hearted and gentle soul, eager to find a loving family who appreciates a loyal companion. If you have a peaceful environment and enjoy quiet snuggles, Smokey would thrive with you. He’s the perfect match for anyone seeking a laid-back dog to share their life with. Click apply to start the adoption process.
