About Chance
Chance is a remarkable rescue dog with a story that's as inspiring as it is heartwarming. This 4-5 year old male Basenji mix has faced challenges that would overwhelm many, but he remains hopeful for his forever home. Chance was found living on the streets nearly three years ago. After a series of foster homes, he’s currently thriving with his latest foster, who has helped him overcome his past fears. It’s a joy to see him ask for cuddles and slowly build trust in humans again. This courageous boy even demonstrates good recall and can leap over obstacles with ease. While Chance is a low to high energy dog, he has shown he can settle down nicely. He's very intelligent and food-motivated, thriving in a structured environment where he feels secure. Although he can be a bit guarded over food, he responds well to patience and kindness. He gets along with other dogs, especially when introduced properly, and will make an excellent agility candidate once he’s ready. Chance needs a loving family who understands his journey and can provide the patience and commitment to help him fully come into his own. A home with a secure backyard and other canine companions would be ideal for him. Are you ready to give Chance the special life he's been waiting for? What are you waiting for? Apply today!
