About Lima Sussex

Lima Sussex is an endearing Jack Russell Terrier mix looking for a special forever home. At around 2 to 5 years old and weighing about 10 pounds, Lima is one of the two survivors from a hoarding situation in Phillipsburg. He and his buddy Michael Phelps have been through a lot, but they're learning that life can be safe and kind. As the more reserved of the two, Lima comes with a sweet, gentle personality. He may take some time to warm up, but he has a heart of gold and enjoys the company of other dogs. A calm environment is ideal for him, allowing him to grow confident at his own pace. Lima will thrive best in a home with another friendly dog, as they help him navigate new experiences. Both boys need adopters who understand that patience is key, especially for dogs from challenging backgrounds. They should go to homes with older, considerate children or preferably no children, as younger ones can overwhelm them. While they are not bonded and can be adopted separately, adopting them together would ease their transition. A secure, fully fenced yard is required to keep them safe as they can be flight risks when startled. They are neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Considering Lima's journey, he deserves a loving family who will provide him with the security he needs to flourish. Think you can give him the loving home he deserves?
