About Lowrider

Meet Lowrider, a two-year-old Doxie/Pit mix looking for a fresh start. This small, short-legged sweetheart has been through a lot. He was found tied to a box of puppies on the freeway by a Good Samaritan. Unfortunately, he faced abandonment again, which has left him with a deep sense of uncertainty in new situations. Lowrider needs time, space, and reassurance to feel safe. He is not yet comfortable on a leash, which may stem from past experiences, so gentle training and patience will be essential for his progress. For his safety, he should not be left outside unattended or off-leash, as he could be an escape risk. A calm home without young children would help him thrive as he builds his confidence slowly. Despite his troubled past, Lowrider has a kind heart. He just needs someone who understands that healing takes time and who is willing to support him at his own pace. If you’re ready to help him learn that people can be safe and nurturing, Lowrider is waiting for you. To meet him, visit the Yakima Humane Society. He’s available for adoption soon. Let's help him get the caring home he needs!
