About Munch
Munch is a lovable Newfoundland with a heart for people. He thrives on companionship but tends to lack awareness of his size, so he's best suited for households with older kids—those above 10 years old. Though he enjoys the presence of children, he can unintentionally knock them over when excited. Munch is well-behaved; he doesn’t jump and avoids getting on furniture. Navigating steps can be tricky for him, as he sometimes opts to jump on and off decks instead of using stairs. With a passion for car rides and long walks, Munch is a great companion. He has successfully socialized during outings, such as at farmers' markets and festivals, while wearing a no-pull harness. He enjoys the company of other dogs and is overall indifferent to cats, occasionally giving chase in a playful way, but never aggressively. His previous foster family had a few cats that were comfortable around him. Munch communicates his needs, sometimes barking when he wants to go outside, but he’s learning to settle down more quickly. He’s currently eating a limited ingredient diet and is in good health after finishing heartworm treatment. His ears are being treated, and there’s been progress with his condition. Munch is currently in Indianapolis, IN, and is eager to find his forever home. A home check is required, and you'll need to pick him up upon adoption approval.
