Dr. Pepper
AvailableDr. Pepper is a medium adult male American Staffordshire Terrier, brindle in color. He is house trained and altered. With vaccinations up to date, he’s ready for the right home in Blacksburg, VA. His gentle nature makes him a lovely companion for those who understand him.
About Dr. Pepper
Dr. Pepper is gradually learning to navigate the world around him. When he first joined the rescue, he was overwhelmed and tried to make himself invisible, flinching at any movement. With patience and gentle encouragement, he's begun to trust again and now leans into pets, following his person around, even dozing off while being lovingly stroked. This sensitive guy thrives in a quiet, low-traffic environment where life is steady and calm. He needs a fenced yard and someone home often to help him feel secure. Gentle and dog-friendly, Dr. Pepper also gets along with cats in his gentle way, but he needs time to earn their trust, just as he needs time with new people. Though he has low energy right now and is already house trained, he’s still figuring out how to feel safe. He’s looking for a compassionate adopter willing to take things slow. In return, you’ll gain a sweet soul longing for security and affection.
