About Khaleesi
Meet Khaleesi, a lovely young border collie mix looking for a kind and patient home. This tri-colored beauty found herself in a shelter with her dog family before coming into foster care. When she first arrived, she was understandably timid and spent her initial month hiding. However, she has made remarkable progress, now exploring the yard and even joining trips to Lowe's. Khaleesi opens up to new people on her own terms, and she prefers a calm environment where she can feel secure. Loud, busy households may overwhelm her. Khaleesi thrives best with another confident dog or two to guide her. A quiet home with no children is ideal, as she may do better in a setting with less activity. For the time being, she requires medication for car rides due to anxiety and nausea, so you’ll want to plan accordingly. She’s both house and crate-trained, walks nicely on a leash, and shows promise in learning new skills, like catching a disc! Once Khaleesi trusts you, her affectionate side shines through, especially when cuddled up on a recliner. A securely fenced yard is a must for her safety. If you think you could provide the calm, loving atmosphere she needs, please consider adopting Khaleesi. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
