About Lion
Lion is a sweet pup, not your typical ferocious oversized cat! He’s in need of a foster or forever home right away! As a 6-month-old Shih Tzu mix, he's still growing and currently weighs about 12.5 lbs. Lion gets along well with other dogs, though his interactions with cats or kids are still a mystery; we're happy to share integration tips with interested adopters. Living at Lucky Dog's South Carolina rescue campus, Lion dreams of his forever home in the DC area. This enthusiastic young boy is nearing the end of his puppyhood and looks forward to shared adventures, sniffy walks, and dog school to showcase his smarts. When playtime ends, he hopes for moments of pets, cuddles, and belly rubs. Lion does require an adopter ready to commit to daily brushing and professional grooming as his coat needs special attention to avoid painful mats. Above all, he longs for security and love. In return, he promises loyal companionship with adoring gazes and happy tail wags. Are you ready to welcome Lion into your heart and home? Click apply to start the adoption process.
