About Mora
Meet Mora! This large female dog is one of two extraordinary pups looking for a loving home. Mora was born with a rare condition called Myotonia Congenita, often referred to as "Fainting Goat Syndrome." Despite her diagnosis, she is full of life and enjoys playtime, cuddles, and being around her people just like any other dog. Mora, along with her companion Oona, would thrive being adopted together, though each can adapt well in a home with another calm dog. These two have formed a strong bond with their foster family and have learned to enjoy their daily routine. They prefer smaller, more frequent meals with supervision and engage in gentle exercise. Thankfully, the effects of their condition can be managed with appropriate medication, allowing them both to live vibrant lives. If you’re in the Greater Savannah area, Mora has an established relationship with Dr. Jason King at Live Oak Veterinary Specialists, which makes it easier to continue her specialized care. Adopters from outside the area will need to connect with a veterinary neurologist for ongoing support. Mora is currently available for adoption through the Humane Society for Greater Savannah in Savannah, Georgia. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
