Winston is a male, medium-sized dog with a beautiful golden and white coat. He is altered and has up-to-date vaccinations. At a young age, he is already house trained and gets along well with both children and other dogs. Located in Plainfield, IL, Winston warms hearts and is eager to share his life with a loving family.

Meet Winston, the impressive 28-pound ‘Shorgi’—a charming mix of Shiba Inu and Pembroke Welsh Corgi. He welcomes every member of your family, including kids and even the loud ones, with open paws. He’s a toy enthusiast, tirelessly engaging with his toys, and knows how to have fun without being overly energetic. At under two years old, he’s a lively spirit who walks nicely on a leash and is about 99% house trained. Treat him gently, and he’ll return the favor without any "finger casualties." He does well with dogs of his size and is looking for a home that understands his prey drive for small animals, so a secure yard and leash walks are crucial. While he has his reservations about thunderstorms, he settles down nicely with a bit of reassurance. Winston is eager to be part of a family that can provide him with a mix of adventure and comfort. If you enjoy an engaging buddy for life, Winston is ready to make memories with you. Applications are open for this wonderful companion. The adoption fee of $400 covers spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, heartworm treatment, and any necessary medical care to ensure he’s ready for his new home. Note that due to being a foster home-based rescue, we do home visits and are unable to adopt to families outside of the Chicago area. Don't wait around. He’s ready to be loved!
