Bates
AvailableBates is a young, neutered male Labrador Retriever/Shiba Inu mix about 11 months old, with a short black and cream coat. He’s house trained and fully vaccinated. Bates currently lives in Bartlett, IL, and is adjusting well to life indoors after spending much of his early life outside.
About Bates
Bates started life outdoors in Missouri and came into rescue through Quincy, landing with his current foster in Bartlett, IL. He was skittish from the jump, but it hasn't taken long for him to start settling in. It’s clear the inside world is still new — he’s run into the sliding glass door a couple times, not realizing it was there. Funny on the surface, but it hints at a puppy who’s mostly known the outdoors. Bates is now learning the comfort of indoor life, and he’s picking it up fast: playing well with his foster sibling and now even with his foster parents. He’s house trained, has a short black and cream coat, and his neuter is scheduled; he’s also fully up to date on vaccines. He gets along with both dogs and kids, showing a playful, gentle side emerging through all this change. Give Bates a chance to see what a real home is. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
