About Taco
Meet Taco, a fun-loving 1-year-old male Chihuahua weighing about 8 pounds. He’s an energetic little guy who loves playing with his foster siblings, zooming around the house, and frolicking in the yard. Taco has a knack for entertaining himself with toys, showing off his skills with tiny soccer balls and meatily tossing his lamb stuffy around. Although he's still mastering fetch, he enjoys snuggling up for cozy snoozes on the couch or in a sunny spot. While Taco brings joy with his playful antics, he does come with a couple of challenges that his future family will need to help him with. He has leash reactivity and exhibits some separation anxiety, preferring to stay close to his humans. Taco can bark defensively at first when meeting new dogs but tends to warm up quickly for playtime once he feels comfortable. His ideal home would include another easy-going dog while also managing introductions carefully. He likes to be part of the action and sometimes needs guidance about personal space. His previous experiences suggest that he may not be best suited for homes with children or cats because he’s still fine-tuning his gentleness. Taco's foster family has also noticed that he has mild subluxated patellas, so while he enjoys a good walk, he won't be your long-distance running partner. Taco is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and ready for his forever home. If you think your family can provide the guidance and love Taco needs, he’s excited to meet you!
