AvailableAbout Cerulean Sea Mama: Zoe
Mama Zoe's is a wonderful heart! Head pets? She LOVES those. That's where trust starts with her. She's slowly learning that she can hop up on a human's lap and make biscuits. She's starting to play again — wrestling with her babies using just the right amount of gentle, and chasing mousies when her foster mom tosses them. Mama Zoe is rediscovering the kitten inside her, as she spent the last of her kittenhood being pregnant and raising kittens of her own. They are the Cerulean Sea litter, named after The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune — a cozy fantasy book that “feels like a warm hug.” In the story, every character deserves a chance to be seen for who they really are. Zoe's waiting for her chance. Her quiet superpower is simple: making her forever family fall in love with her strange and wonderful heart. And that's not impossible. It's already happening in foster care. She's not ready for full-body cuddles yet. She's watching. She's processing. She's saying yes to more every day. She spent her early days as a nervous, protective young mom. She was such a good mama. Now that her kittens have grown more independent, her real purrsonality is finally emerging. She can be a bit protective around other cats, so slow introductions would help her feel safe. In the right home, she'll keep unfolding. Mama Zoe came to us through animal control with her neonatal kittens, supposedly found in a box on the road. To keep this vulnerable family safe, they ask if we could bring them into foster care. And of course we did. And they thrived. Her kittens even joined story time at foster mom's bookshop and delighted everyone they met. Zoe is ready for a new chapter. A quiet home with patient humans would help her finish becoming the playful youngster she never got to be. She may do best as an only cat, or with a cat-savvy family willing to do slow, respectful introductions. You can see more pictures and videos of our fosters on our facebook page: Sophia L'Orange Kitten Rescue. As well as more pictures and videos of her journey in foster care in the Cerulean Sea photo album on her foster's facebook page: The Curious Cat Bookshop Think you're her forever family? All of our adoptable animals are cared for and assessed in foster homes (we do not have a shelter), up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed or neutered and tested for FeLV/FIV, before they are adopted. They have had de-worming medication as a standard of care and Flea/Tick/Ear Mite preventive treatment. Medical records will be released with the adopted pet.
