About Charlie

MEET CHARLIE: The Big Cuddle Bug Charlie is a massive softie who believes his true calling in life is to be a lap dog, his heart is pure mush. Personality: Affectionate, eager to please, and highly responsive. If you stop petting him, he will give you a gentle nudge just to remind you hes there. Energy Level: Playful but possesses an excellent "off switch." He loves a good play session, but his absolute favorite activity is snuggling up tight on the couch. Training: Highly obedient and incredibly responsive to commands. He aims to please his humans. Home Manners: Just like his brother, he is completely housebroken and crate-trained. MEET BUCKY: The Athletic Explorer If you are looking for an outdoor partner with a gentle, loyal soul, Bucky is your guy. He is independent but deeply bonded to his humans, always keeping a quiet, watchful eye on the people he loves. Personality: Curious, intelligent, and quietly loyal. He loves to investigate his surroundings and take in the world through his nose. Energy Level: Moderate-to-high athletic. He is the perfect partner for morning jogs, long hikes, or a vigorous game of fetch in the yard. Fun Quirks: Bucky is a total fruit lover! After a meal, he loves to do a little active foraging in the yard to pick his own fresh strawberries and raspberries. Home Manners: Exceptional. He is fully crate-trained, housebroken, and a total breeze to have around the house. URGENT: FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED BY JULY Location: New Jersey (Transplanted from Texas) Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier mixes Age: 15 Months (As of June 2026) Status: Neutered, fully up-to-date on vaccinations, crate-trained, and housebroken! Contact: Rescue Without Borders Email: Rescuewithoutborders@gmail.com THE URGENT SITUATION: These two sweet brothers narrowly escaped a Texas euthanasia list at the start of June, surviving a chaotic transport situation before being saved by a network of incredible rescuers who brought them to NJ. They are currently safe in a loving foster home, but their foster must travel for the months of July and August. They have absolutely no backup placement. We urgently need permanent adopters or a committed summer foster home (together or separate) to ensure they don't lose the safety they just found. Placement Needs: While they are brothers, they do exhibit some typical sibling rivalry (with Charlie being the more dominant of the two). They can be placed together or separately into a summer foster or a forever home. Time is of the essence. Please share Bucky and Charlie with your local networks, bully-breed rescues, and anyone looking to save two incredibly resilient, sweet dogs.
