Kodiak and Chiniak are beautiful tortoiseshell sisters just over a year old who are searching for a special home together. Born into a community cat colony, these girls learned that people can be trusted through the kindness of the person who fed them every evening. They have already come a long way—and with patience, they have the potential to come even farther. Chiniak is still more cautious around people, but she's making progress every day. Churu treats are the way to her heart, and despite her nervousness, she has shown no interest in escaping her foster room. Instead, she spends her time playing, birdwatching, and staying close to her sister. Chiniak is a high-energy girl who loves to chase toys, toss them across the room for herself, and zoom around wrestling with Kodiak. She'll happily spend hours playing chase, and she's even started playing with her nephew, Salmonberry—though Kodiak remains her favorite companion. When she's not playing, she enjoys watching birds and fish on Cat TV. Together, these sisters are endlessly entertaining. They are more playful than the kittens in their family, taking turns chasing each other, wrestling, and inventing games. Kodiak has even learned how to "popcorn" toys on the roof of her mesh playpen and slingshot puffballs across the room. At nap time, they can almost always be found sleeping side by side.
